Charles
I’ve been tutoring IB MYP Mathematics for six years, mostly working with students who find algebra and problem solving difficult. I like using short examples first, then letting students work through similar questions while I step in when needed. Geometry is probably my favourite unit to teach. I also spend time on investigation-style questions because these often take students a while to get used to.

Angelina
Hi! I’m an IB MYP Biology tutor with a background in life sciences and four years of tutoring experience. My lessons are quite visual, so I use diagrams a lot for cells, body systems and genetics. I usually ask students to explain an idea back to me rather than simply memorise definitions. Before assessments, we work through unfamiliar questions together and look closely at what each question is actually asking.

Landon
I teach IB MYP Chemistry and have worked with middle-years students for just over eight years. My approach is fairly structured: we identify the topic causing trouble, review the underlying chemistry, then move into calculations or application questions. Atomic structure and chemical reactions are areas I particularly enjoy teaching. I also help students improve how they explain experimental results in written work.

Caroline
Physics made much more sense to me once I stopped treating every question like a formula exercise, and that is how I teach it now. I’ve tutored IB MYP Physics for five years, with a particular interest in forces, energy and electricity. I often sketch situations out before introducing calculations. For students preparing for assessments, we practise explaining the reasoning behind an answer as well as getting the number right.

Nevaeh
I’m an English tutor specialising in IB MYP Language and Literature. I’ve spent seven years helping students with literary analysis, essay planning and close reading. I’m especially fond of teaching short stories because there is so much to unpack in just a few pages. Lessons often involve taking one paragraph apart carefully, discussing what the writer is doing, then turning those observations into a clear analytical response.

Dominic
I’ve taught IB MYP Individuals and Societies for nine years and particularly enjoy history-based units. Students often know plenty of facts but struggle to turn them into a convincing response, so much of my tutoring focuses on evidence, source analysis and argument. I’m a bit of a map enthusiast too, which tends to come in handy with geography topics. Sessions are discussion-heavy rather than simply reading through notes.

Sean
I’m an English teacher with nine years of classroom experience and have taught the IB MYP for the past six. Most of my tutoring is with students who have interesting ideas but struggle to turn them into organised analytical writing. We often work with one paragraph at a time, looking closely at evidence and authorial choices. I particularly enjoy teaching dystopian fiction, speeches and comparative responses.

Oliver
After working in a research laboratory, I moved into teaching and now focus on IB MYP Biology. That background means practical work is a big part of how I explain science. I like taking topics such as enzymes, cells or ecology and asking students what evidence would actually prove an idea. I’ve taught MYP students for seven years and regularly support investigation design, data presentation and evaluation.
